Positioned above Rainbow Bay with panoramic views stretching toward Coolangatta and the Gold Coast skyline, this penthouse within the long standing Seascape apartment building has been reimagined into a calm and refined coastal residence.

Built by Young Concepts Building with interiors by Design Scout Interiors, the renovation balances understated luxury with a softer coastal atmosphere. Natural stone, muted textures and considered detailing create a sense of calm throughout, while expansive ocean views remain a constant presence across the space.

The approach to documenting this project focused not only on the renovation itself, but also the atmosphere surrounding one of Australia’s most recognisable coastlines. Golden hour was prioritised across different spaces to capture changing light interacting with interiors, materials and panoramic views.

Alongside the architecture, moments around Rainbow Bay and the surrounding coastline were intentionally documented using vintage cinema lenses to preserve a softer, more nostalgic interpretation of place. The aim was to create imagery balancing mystery with understated coastal luxury, where architecture, landscape and lifestyle become difficult to separate.

The result captures more than the completed renovation alone, reflecting both the design of the penthouse and the atmosphere that defines this part of the iconic coastline.
